The ‘hop’ is for craft beer and the ‘doddy’ for quality meats. Hopoddy is an Austin-born burger bar that prides itself on unexpected ingredients and unwavering hospitality.

The Brief

To keep up with rapid national growth, Hopdoddy tapped us to help develop a brand strategy, marketing approach and visual identity that clearly articulate how they push the boundaries of burgers to serve familiar in unfamiliar ways.

The Approach

It all started in 2010, when the founders threw the burger joint menu out the window and stomped on the gas. Since then, Hopdoddy’s set a new standard for burger bars far and wide. Beyond bringing the best craft beer and the tastiest burger concoctions under one roof, they express a genuine passion for people, music and their Austin roots. Our foundational brand work focused on showcasing these core characteristics and immortalizing them in a brand book their teams could rally behind. We then created a campaign that not only lived up to who Hopdoddy is, but that invited guests to experience new mind- and mouth-expanding menu specials inspired by brand-aligned, cultural hooks.
