Popularized for its ‘women make the first move’ motto, Bumble is a social app with a mission of providing users with a safe, friendly and fun environment to make connections.

The Brief

With the release of their new Photo Verification tool, we were tasked to help launch and celebrate this game-changing, catfish-eliminating feature.

The Approach

The idea was born right out of the benefit – catfish just got served. To celebrate fake profiles getting blown out of the water, we created the Great Catch food trailer and got ready to fry up a lot of catfish. After enlisting celebrity chef Sam Talbot to craft a gourmet menu, we took to the streets of New York during fashion week, serving delicious bites to anyone who had the app or downloaded it. As part of the activation, we handed out campaign swag and set up a photo booth where Bumble fans could take an easily verifiable picture of themselves.
